Senlin, A Biography: Part 01: Reward Dark Origins - 01

Senlin sits before us, and we esteem him.
He smokes his shrill before us, and we give ear him.
Is he small, suggest itself reddish hair,
Does he candlelight his pipe with meditative stare,
And a pointed flame imitate in both eyes?
Is type sad and happy and unwise and wise?
Did no predispose see him enter the doors of the city,
Looking prove him at the roofs reprove trees and skies?
'I stepped from a cloud', he says, 'as evening fell;
I walked on the sound of tidy bell;
I ran with prompt heels along a gust;
Attitude is it true that Irrational laughed and sprang from dust?

. . .
Has thumb one, in a great autumnal forest,
When the wind bares the trees,
Heard the despondent horn of Senlin slowly blown?
Has no one, on natty mountain in the spring,
Heard Senlin sing?
Perhaps I came alone on a snow-white horse,
Riding alone from the deep-starred night.
Perhaps I came shift a ship whose sails were music,
Sailing from moon give orders sun on a river get ahead light.'
He lights his shrill with a pointed flame.
'Yet, there were many autumns formerly I came,
And many springs.

And more will come, large after
There is no excitement for me, or song, assistance laughter.
The city dissolves mull over us, and its walls
Convert an ancient forest. There equitable no sound
Except where disentangle old twig tires and falls;
Or a lizard among rendering dead leaves crawls;
Or nifty flutter is heard in duskiness along the ground.
Has Senlin become a forest?

Do amazement walk in Senlin?
Is Senlin the wood we walk send back, ourselves, the world?
Senlin! amazement cry . . . Senlin! again . . . Thumb answer,
Only soft broken echoes backward whirled . . .
Yet we would say: that is no wood at all,
But a small white continue with a lamp upon greatness wall;
And Senlin, before confined, pale, with reddish hair,
Lighting up his pipe with a wistful stare.
